There are a few, er, hitchhikers in the form of the few missions that play out as discrete, single player mode campaigns. These aren't terrible, the story is compelling enough and they're done well, but they're a bit of an oddity. The main missions themselves are, on the whole, little more than a series of planetary battles. There are a few exceptions - your colonisation efforts create a lasting effect on the surface of the planets you visit, and the final mission involves a bit of an intergalactic space opera in its own right. But elsewhere you spend your time fighting for control of the planet's resources, or luring enemy fleets into traps. You also have to keep in mind that you're fighting for your colony's very survival. Not all of the planets you visit are hospitable to any kind of humanity.
Battlefleet Gothic 2 is the next big step for the series, bridging the gap between the series' ragtag fleet combat and the far more cinematic, weighty battles of the Battlefleet Gothic: Armada series. It's a step away from the latter, but there's still a very engaging, RTS-lite step between this and the game I'd like to see the next step. And that's a game that sees the player take the role of the whole fleet, not just a single ship. Imagine sailing in a fleet of smaller ships, each with their own distinct abilities, and making your own choices about how you want to engage in combat. Perhaps a corvette could be the leader of a group, filling the role of tank and mining while the cruiser makes all the fancy manoeuvring, flying the wings, and even flying the carrier into position as it's built. Maybe the destroyer hangs back, keeping the capital ship at range, while the interceptor flies in to close the kill.
It's a fun image, and it would be a satisfying experience. Someone like Sid Meier could come up with something great. And if the team behind Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 can take all the fun of the original game and scale that up, it could be a fantastic experience. Kudos to Ironclad Games for tackling a new challenge and making it sound like so much fun.
When you're looking at a multi-band equalizer, it is first important to understand that audio processing is an anisotropic, and not isotropic, operation, meaning that the process is applied in a different manner depending on the direction a signal moves through the filter. iZotope's Neutron EQ module was designed to be an isotropic, or same-direction, filter, meaning that it operates in the same manner regardless of the direction a signal moves through it. So, for example, a band that is narrow near the upper frequency of a guitar signal will behave the same, regardless of whether that signal is moving toward or away from the speaker. 827ec27edc
