Photoshop is predominantly used for graphic design, such as web design, logo design, desktop publishing, business card design, and print design. Photoshop is also used for image retouching, such as removing artifacts from images of people and objects. Photoshop's tools can be used for image composition, such as creating a collage, and for image creation, such as creating a painting. Photoshop is sometimes used for creating digital art. Some digital art projects are then transformed into other media, such as vector art, by using a vector graphics editor such as Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop is also used for certain types of craft, such as for making paper models of objects. Photoshop is also used for image insertion, such as making an image appear within a different image.
Photoshop is often used to create high-quality 3D content in movies and video games. In these cases, Photoshop is used in conjunction with tools from other programs such as Adobe After Effects to create the 3D elements. Once created, the 3D objects are then composited together with 2D elements to form the final animated image. Photoshop has also been used for realistic 3D texturing of objects. Photoshop is also sometimes used to generate the textures for 3D models, which are then then used to texture the model itself. Photoshop has also been used to create fake-depth imagery for training purposes.
With the release of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Apple Inc. released a further version of the software. The Photoshop Elements 4 and 5 versions were discontinued in 2007. In January 2008, Adobe released a new version of their software, the Adobe Photoshop CS5 which includes both editing and retouching tools. It was the first version of Adobe Photoshop to contain the ability to create 3D layers, which were not present in the previous versions. The new features include brush tools that can be used to apply various forms of media, such as paint and correction effects, and motion tracking tools which allow you to create a motion path.40
As I was about to get up last night to download KIS 2009 from Kaspersky website, I noticed there is a new version (KAV 2009) available. Then I remembered they released an official Windows product key for KAV 2009. So, I can upgrade to KAV 2009 as well now! Or, maybe I can activate the KIS 2009 and use the 6 months free activation code from KAV 2009. I will have to look into it later.
If you are not a KIS or KAV 2009 user, you can order a copy of KIS 2009 or KAV 2009 to activate it online for free. To order, please follow the instructions at http://support.kaspersky.com/support/order .
